Hi Doug: I was able to get http://search.cpan.org/CPAN/authors/id/D/DH/DHUNT/PDL-Graphics-PLplot-0.42.tar.gz working. I have put my recipe for doing this into examples/perl/README.perldemos (revision 9039), and I have also completed my build system changes so that HAVE_PDL_GRAPHICS_PLPLOT_40 is now (revision 9040) automatically determined.
Here are the ctest results using your latest (version 0.42) tarball from CPAN. perl Missing examples : 27 28 29 30 Differing examples : 02 08 21 23 I looked more closely at the example 2 difference since you worked on that recently. I got context diff pairs similar to the following when comparing the pdl and corresponding C example: -1.0000 0.0745 0.0745 C Z +0.9961 0.0745 0.0745 C Z I don't understand PostScript that well, but these are RGB colour triplet numbers. This diff (and many more) show your RGB triplets are not quite the same as those set in the C example. I don't know whether your problem is located in your PDL interface or example 2, but the issue needs further investigation. That difference between 1.000 and 0.9961 seems quite familiar to me. I think there used to be a similar problem (some cast from integer to float not following the C example?) with Ada example 2, but I may be remembering that wrong. The other example you recently worked on was 20, and the above results show a perfect comparison for that which is an encouraging step forward. Alan __________________________ Alan W.
