Hello all,

Some progress finally. I still don't know what's causing the error, except that
it's triggered by having a QApplication (set in GUI mode) in the driver. But it
looks like it does not occur when I use a Qt distribution compiled on my system
(exact same version of the library).

In the end, I believe there is a conflict between the pre-compiled Qt libraries
on the Qt web site and some library (glibc?) on my system.

I have a question for Hezekiah: I haven't tried Ubuntu 9.04, was the Qt version
you have delivered by Ubuntu, or have you installed it by your own means?

Objet : RE : [Plplot-devel] RE : Qt segmentation fault, Qt version and
test_plend

Hello all,

Just for information, the Qt driver runs fine (but not valgrind-clean) on
Mandriva 2009.1 64. Summing up, the segmentation fault issue occurs on:
- Ubuntu 9.04 64
- OpenSuse 11.1 64 (Qt 4.5 only, Qt 4.4 is fine)
But not on
- Mandriva 2009.1 32 or 64 (Qt applications not valgrind clean)
- OpenSuse 11.1 32 (not valgrind clean)
- Debian 64 (valgrind clean)

If anyone has extra info to add to that, feel free to do so. I'll check the
software versions on these distributions tomorrow to see if any possible factor
emerges.

Alban
