Both now done.

I notice there are no release notes so far for this release. I suspect we have 
done things that should be documented. The colorbar changes I will add once 
that has settled down. In the meantime a check of the svn changes since the
last release might be prudent. Anyone who knows they have made changes, please
document them in README.release.
