@ Everybody:

The release is on a temporary (short) hold to allow me to fix a small build
system issue that a last-minute comprehensive test of the
-DOLD_WXWIDGETS=ON case has demonstrated.

@Arjen and Greg:

I have just now (9653b7c) committed a description of recent
comprehensive testing in README.release. These tables of results (in
SourceForge markdown format) will be propagated to our wiki once the
bugs in the recently introduced SF markdown editor that I have
discussed before have been fixed.

Please take a look at these results to make sure I represented your
work correctly. You should take care to look at the table notes and
especially the important distinctions I make there concerning platform
constraints ("not available"), arbitrary constraints imposed by the
tester to simplify testing ("not installed" or "ignored"), or explicit
workarounds for PLplot issues for the platform ("disabled").

@Greg: Please note I did not include your recent comprehensive testing
of openSUSE because I view that effort as not completed yet. For
example, more openSUSE packages need to be installed to support
additional components of PLplot for the testing, and your existing
script test results failed in a peculiar way at the very last hurdle
(static libraries, traditional build _cleanup_ failed). Once we get
these last comprehensive testing issues sorted out for openSUSE I will
be happy to insert the relevant table in README.release for our next
release and also in our Wiki (once that can be edited).
