There's another way. If make is being over-protective when
building/cleaning and failing on the first error it sees, there is a
special character you can preceed commands in the Makefile which tells
it to run asis, but ignore any errors if you get any.

As much as help this is, I don't remember exactly what is required,
and I cannot find an example :) BUT I have seen it done! :)
