Sounds similar to <http://bugs.plkr.org/bug_view_page.php?bug_id=666> to me. Deleting a book (generally after reading the document in question) from the Library or within a document frequently crashes, either immediately or when exiting plucker. CleanPlucker hasn't helped me at all. I've seen it with 1-2 dozen documents, and more.

I just repeated this; deleted 6 documents, hit Home, and crashed:

Fatal Alert
MemoryMgr.c, Line:3654,
Free handle

[Reset]

And just to make things more irritating, the onscren Reset button doesn't work; I have to use the one on the back.

This has persisted past the Tungsten C OS upgrade (it takes Palm 9mb to avoid a stupid bogus noise using the stylus!!!). I'm now running 5.2.1 "10B 5/14/03 13:".

Chris
PS-I though someone here mentioned automated CVS snapshot builds, but I can't find the message, or a newer build at hires.plkr.org. I tried to build the whole ball of wax from CVS a month or so ago, and was not successful. Is there an easier way to get a new (hires) client?

I must have missed your email. Could you file the report on bugs.plkr.org, with full information on how to duplicate it? Here are some questions, not all of which need to be answered, but which would help point us in the right direction: Does it matter how many documents in total you have? Does it matter whether you're using the device in landscape or portrait mode? Do you do the deleting just at entry to Plucker, or after exiting from a doc? Does it happen for documents on MS?

It's hard to fix a bug one can't duplicate. I take it that nobody else has this bug on an OS 5.2 device? (I only have an OS 5.0 device.)

Didn't here about this one. Is this a UX50-only problem?

I wrote about it a week ago. I haven't seen it on my IIIc, only on my UX50. To fix the crash, the Plucker preferences have to be deleted using CleanPlucker after it. Somewhat annoying.

But if you don't delete documents when done with them, it doesn't appear to happen.

Thanks to some help from an intrepid developer on irc.plkr.org tonight, the latest snapshot supports the 480x320 of the Clie UX50.

Thanks. But does it still crash with a MemMgr.c null pointer when a third document is deleted from the library?
