Hi - I recently installed the latest Plucker on my win98 SE2 machine... I also installed python22.
I have several uncertainties - 1. I see that plucker has a python dir which contains a version 1.5... did I need to install another version of python? I ddi so since the install instructions said to install python prior to plucker. 2. Is there a better way to run this on a win machine then from a dos prompt? Being used to unix, I have no history, command recall changes, etc... it's a hassle. ? 3. I have run into a problem running the parser. I have run this from both the python directory AND from the Plucker directory - same problem both times. Depending on where I run it from - obviously - I have to change the paths - if I'm in python then I can just say python, etc. Example python E:\pda\plucker\pyplucker\spider.py -f testDB -P E:\pda\plucker --no-urlinfo My modified home.html is in E:\pda\plucker The parser retrieves the html files to parse ok - but I get an error on each and every image file -- could not load PIL Library. I originally ran this from the plucker dir - but switched to python, thinking that it might find the library files more easily if it was executed from the python directory. I noticed that neither plucker or python modified the path statemetn in autoexec.bat - would that be useful to this process? Help is appreciated. Thanks Debbie
