Background - I am a user, not a developer. I run
Win2k, not OSX. Plucker is not as easy as AvantGo to
configure. It is more flexible than AvantGo. The two
problems you will run into is sites whose PDA friendly
URLs are not known and sites that require cookies.
However, even with other sites, Plucker takes more
work than AvantGo.

I use JPluck on my PC which has a nice showcase (a
list of PDA friendly sites) and some cookie support.
It might be a bit more intimidating than Plucker
Desktop but I need cookies for some of the sites I
Pluck. You might try installing Plucker Desktop or
JPluck without the conduit enabled and seeing if you
can get it to Pluck the sites you're interested in. I
don't know if there's a Plucker viewer that will run
under OSX but success versus failure is usually pretty
obvious from watching the program run and looking at
the file size.

Hope this helps,

Dave
