Doubtless the Plucker Desktop people won't thank me for this, but getting things running with JPluck is very easy: - install JPluck and the 1.6 reader from: http://www.nouvelles-solutions.com/iplucker/download.html - sync the reader to the E; - grab channels from the JPluck Showcase, which include the NYP and the NYT (no need to go to a clunky website to find channels :); - sync again; - read! There is one small wrinkle involving cookies (used by the NYT) which I mentioned in a previous email here; there are voluminous instructions on the JPluck site (http://jpluck.sourceforge.net/). I would not go back to AvantGo; I tried the supposed "OS 5 hi-res" version and was shocked at how far it had fallen behind in the past couple of years compared to Plucker and other readers such as TiBR Pro and iSilo, for example. (It lasted about 10 minutes before being uninstalled!)
