The problem is that unlike regular installs to internal memory, the Palm
HotSync Manager and Install Tool use a Registry key to flag whether an
installation should occur next sync. You can either use the regular Install
directory and install to RAM, or install something to the card with the Palm
Install Tool to signal to the HotSync Manager that a cardinstall should be
done next HotSync.

Slot-SD is the proper folder, but without that Registry key set, the HotSync
Manager won't look in it. If you're adventurous, you can use the Registry
Editor to find the proper key and export it to a .REG, then double-click it
before each HotSync - or if you're really adventurous, try using regedt32 to
remove Delete/Alter permissions from the key after creating it (nt/2k/xp
only)
