Try clicking the help ? Button then troubleshooting information.  Then try
the refresh Firefox button.

If that doesn't help you could rename the hidden Firefox folder in you home
directory.  Might be .mozilla

Maybe you could create a new user and see if that user has issues, then you
know it is your profile or not.
