The Oracle-MySQL thing is gonna be really interesting...especially since Oracle already owns Innobase/InnoDB code base. The Percona cats released a re-written, better performing, drop-in replacement for InnoDB, so if Oracle gets really assy, at least non-BDB engine transactional capability will remain available :)
