I think I am missing something. When I view it on a web page it has a transparent background. So then i saved it out as a windows icon and windows renders the icon with a transparent background. While I do not have a linux box with a GUI available rite now I would imagine it would render a transparent background as well. Could you be more specific as to what you intend to do with it so I can see how it is not working when I have access to my gnome box latter?
