I am Pinak Deshpande,
I am installing Oracle 9i on Red Hat Linux7.3 but i am facing some errors
during installation.
Errors goes like this...
1) Error in setting permissions of file / directory
/u01/app/oracle/jre/1.1.8/bin/i686/native_threads/.extract_args
2) Error in setting permissions of file / directory
/u01/app/oracle/jre/1.1.8/bin/i686/native_threads/.java_wrapper
3) Error in invoking target ntcontab.o of makefile
/u01/app/oracle/lib/ins_net_client.mk
4) Error in invoking target nnfgt.o of makefile
/u01/app/oracle/lib/ins_net_client.mk
I don't have /usr/include/bits on my linux.
I tried to compile files in error 3 and 4 (ntcontab.c, nnfgt.c) but i got
compilation error saying
$cc ntcontab.c

/usr/include/endian.h:37:25: bits/endian.h: No such file or directory

from ntcontab.c:7:
/usr/include/sys/select.h:28:24: bits/types.h: No such file or directory
/usr/include/sys/select.h:31:25: bits/select.h: No such file or directory
/usr/include/sys/select.h:34:25: bits/sigset.h: No such file or directory

from ntcontab.c:7:
/usr/include/sys/select.h:46:23: bits/time.h: No such file or directory
similar errors for nnfgt.c
>From where i can get /usr/include/bits directory?
Please tell me how can i get rid of these prolems?
