Hi there everyone!

Please pardon the potentially crazy question. I need to purchase a new hub
and requested my supplier to quote me for whatever he could sell. I got
three brands, but I'll only be asking for a practical comparison of two
(practical because I've already checked the websites out):

Intel InBusiness 16-port Auto-sensing 10/100 DS Hub P12,000
3COM 3C16592A SuperStack II Dual Speed 12-port TX P21,500

I'm wondering ...

1. Why is the 3Com hub much bigger than the Intel InBusiness hub?
2. Why is a 12-port hub more expensive than the 16-port hub?
3. Bottomline: what makes the two-fold increase in price worthit?

I hope some of you can enlighten me. I'm presuming you're more experienced
as far as network hardware is concerned. Apologies for the off-topic. :-)

Thanks in advance! :)
