Wait for the final release of Breezy and expect more wonderful things to happen. I'm also using a Transmeta-based machine: ECS A530. It's true that Ubuntu runs kinda slow with Transmeta machines. There's always a workaround, though. Mine is to just use IceWM as my default desktop. There are other ways to make your machine run faster with Ubuntu. Just don't tire of Googling or better yet visit the ubuntuforums.org site. Other PLUG folks may be willing to share their stories in this regard.
