No, I meant that new Sempron cores being manufactured now
support the x86-64 intruction set.

The 'Palermo' core Semprons are true 64-bit cores.

If I remember my Anandtech and Xbitlabs articles correctly,
mid-model (at least) Semprons actually correspond to the
earlier Athlon XPs.  AMD was essentially differentiating
their high and low-end ranges through presence or lack of
64-bit support (e.g. there were no more 32-bit cores being
branded as Athlon XP at that point in time).

Now that all new Semprons being introduced are 64-bit capable
(at least abroad, dunno locally), I guess the primary difference
is back to cache size.
