So using just the "attacks" as a metric for security doesn't say much as for the security of one's machines, right?

oh well, I just hope that they would come up with a better way of gauging one's security and not using just one metric. :)

A better way of interpreting their data would be "there is an increasing awareness of GNU/Linux F/OSS in the country... so we get attacked.
