I remember a similar experience when I was asked to deploy Ubuntu
Hoary at a school last year, during the height of the NBI piracy
scare. The school administrator wanted to have a working computer lab
setup without having to buy Windows and Office (yes, cost was a big
concern then, as it still is now, ;) so I showed her what the
prevailing FOSS could provide at the time.
of course thats a computer lab. whatever you put in there they will
figure it out.
the real challenge are the people in the street that ms and apple will
never pay attention to. these are the clerks the warehouse people even
the office workers who are forced to use windows.
this is ironic for apple because that was their original target. they
forgot it all somehow.
