This is what i want to confirm.. so what had happened is that, the java
programs keeps logging in the /tmp even if you do not see the file which,

yes your java program still logging on that file eventhough the link is already removed...

is actually a file handle only and not visible in `ls -a`, and making the /tmp
86% full, right?

it will still use that file until all reference to it have been closed and the space will reclaim....
