Well the old versions of windows had a notably crappy network stack... but all things being equal. ex. MacOS is compiled with the Intel (or is it Metrowerks) compiler and is FreeBSD-based. In my (limited) experience, MacOS X on equivalent hardware is far snappier than either Windows or Linux. But that's psychological... it would be interesting to have comparisons. _________________________________________________ Philippine Linux Users' Group (PLUG) Mailing List [email protected] (#PLUG @ irc.free.net.ph) Read the Guidelines: http://linux.org.ph/lists Searchable Archives: http://archives.free.net.ph
