The way I remember 'daemon' is, it is a program or job that I or anyone can't see that runs around like demons in the background (or dark). It slips in quickly when needed to do a task and slips out quickly when the task is done. This is happening with no body like us humans ever aware or noticing. > -- > Zak B.
