Hi Allister, Thanks for the links! I got to flash my phone yesterday.
It's not as hard and risky as I thought it would be. The phone is running on LeeDroid ROM (FroYo) now. It's amazing how so many tools have been built to make it easy to flash and root your phone (e.g. creating an ext3 partition on the SD card). I've yet to try the CyanogenMod ROMs. Just wanted to try FroYo and wifi tethering (which is buggy in this ROM). Any other Desire users out there? A goldcard is needed for phones from Asia (SG, HK, etc) even if they're unlocked. I emailed HTC and they said the update for my phone is not yet available even if it's been released in EU already.
