What was the old setup?  Did it use RAID?  How did you upgrade?  If you ran
fsck on a raid partition (member) then that action might have damaged it.
 Depending on the RAID setup, you can recover the damaged data by rebuilding
RAID.

In addition, fsck should not be applied to mounted partitions.  And always
backup.
