What do you mean it "doesn't up the server"?  Even memtest deoesn't boot?  
Choose the "recovery mode" as this will print a lot of info during the boot 
process and post the last few lines that you can see after choosing it.

This morning i found my ubuntu server grub changes. Listed are the 
option for my grub

ubuntu, linux 2.6.31-14-generic-pae

memory test (memtest 86+)
memory test (memtest 86+, serial console 115200)
ubuntu, linux 2.6.31-14-generic-pae (on /dev/sda5)
ubuntu, linux 2.6.31-14-generic-pae (on /dev/sda5) (recovery mode on 
/dev/sda5)

whichever i choose it doesn't up the server.
Guy can you guide me how to restore my ubuntu server.
