Good question.. my answer to that is no. I just think that a lot of people
are overreacting to this. Probably in part due to how Codenomicon
approached their disclosure of this bug, plus you will notice the timeframe
when the heartbleed.com/org domains got registered prior to public
disclosure... and the list goes on. Even more heated exchange of rhetorics
can be had at Full Disclosure, involving no less than Paul Vixie, and
others..

Definitely. There were more 'serious' bugs in other software than this -
ones that are guaranteed instant root and data exfiltration...
