I will give that a try. Somebody in the Mint forum told me to run Mint 7 instead. I sounds like there's a bug in the installer. I also tried Ubuntu and it could not see the drive either. I really think its a BIOS issue, and there's no option to turn off raid, which I think is causing the problem.
