I guess my question is what does this mean -- a common problem with many systems that are too light is the power jack on the laptop side, something which I gather can be resodered from a new jack. With the battery, when the computer powered up, could they get to a BIOS menu, or was there anything POST-like on the screen (or in audible beeps). When I had a Sony years ago (a PCG-GR290), I got a used docking station -- and was able to power it up (and even recharge the batteries) through that. It worked fine for a couple of years after, until I eBayed it (I no longer have the docking station) Thanks, Mike _______________________________________________ PLUG mailing list PLUG@lists.pdxlinux.org http://lists.pdxlinux.org/mailman/listinfo/plug
