I have a neighbor who runs a business out of his house. Some years back their system drive died, and of course he didn't have a current backup. We used DriveSavers Data Recovery, Inc. (http://www.drivesavers.com). It wasn't cheap, but we were very pleased with the result. That was 8 years ago, though.
