Live TV. I haven't tried recording anything yet. Today was the first time I had an opportunity to finish configuring MythTV to the point where I could watch something with it. Previously I ran HDHomeRun Config GUI and watched a couple of stations via VLC Media Player. Same choppiness there, too, and also with the demo movie clips in MythTV setup. The silly bird was fine, but the character trekking through snow in the mountains was slightly choppy. Note, that the choppiness is not terrible, but it is noticeable. Next time I have some free time I'll try setting it up to record something and see what I get. > ... > OK, I see that your laptop has an Intel GMA X3100. This may be the > problem. That's good to know. Like I said, I'm not sure it makes sense to spend too much on this particular laptop. It does, however, give me the opportunity to get to know MythTV from an operational perspective.
