I wonder -- if it's the battery, could it be like the case where someone
removes and then reinstalls the same battery, getting a bit of extra
power?

Alternatively, I wonder if there was a temporary short caused by
moisture moved around during vacuuming?

(Just brainstorming, not like I have a clue about this)
