I would go natural gas if I had it. Not sure if they still do it, but several years back some of the utilities in the N.E were installing fuel cell machines in homes, these things were about the size of a washing machine, but could carry a good load, I do not recall how many they installed, but there was quite a bit of interest as they put out nice clean power, and how many times do you hear about a limb or drunk taking out a pipeline? I was working in the utility industry back then, that is where I came to observe the fuel cell power systems. Oh yes, and your hot water was a freebee as heating water was a part of cooling the machine, along with the water exhaust.
