Dale, No backup. I was still configuring a new installation. Thinking about this I realized there was nothing to do other than start from scratch and write off the 6 or so hours so far invested. Many, many years ago I accidently blew away all the dot-files in my home directory. It took quite a few hours to get things back again. And, that was a while after accidently deleting /usr/ when I intended to remove a local usr/. So, this makes 3 times my fingers moved ahead of my eyes and brain. And I was drinking coffee this time! Oh, well. Thanks, Rich _______________________________________________ PLUG mailing list [email protected] http://lists.pdxlinux.org/mailman/listinfo/plug
