Thnaks for the insight Chuck. My first plan was to use VNC but I did want to check other options.
Reading this I realized a router in the mix might be better than running a DHCP server on the RPi. Which router do you use? With a quick search it looks like the TP-Link N150 or the newer N300 would be good choices.
