Good point - but you should do (a) and (b) anyway.  I
use docks to reduce connector wear on laptops in fixed
locations, which is where the external drives are.

I presume by "TB" you mean Thunderbolt, not Terabyte or
Tuberculosis.  Ellis Island was a TB port a century ago.
