Hi pluggers,

Can anyone recommend good resources (books or online
articles) on network capacity planning and server
capacity planning? Resources that you actually adopt
for your organization's planning standards would be
good.

Im especially interested at approaches that put
emphasis on quantitative methodologies in capacity
planning on the following fields:

1. ISP infrastructure (assessment of Internet
bandwidth requirements, quantifying LAN load
requirements, design watchpoints, etc)

2. Unix server capacity planning (correlating server
components such as storage, CPU, memory, vis-a-vis
user load, measuring user load, etc)

Part of the provisions of our company's recent venture
partnership with another company requires strict
capacity planning in the infrastructure. I would
appreciate any recommendations.

Thanks.
