have you tried xtradius? at least you'll have the flexibility of running
your own authentication and accounting programs but at the expense of
performance :(
so in your authentication program you should have a way of talking to the
accounting server, so it would know who are logged in or not. In our
implementation here, we don't poll every router every time a user connects
(for performance reasons). We just do it every 5 minutes. so if a user is
stuck, too bad.. he'll just have to wait until his entry is cleared.
we still have a problem though... it would still permit it if the user
logs in at exactly the same time.
