Got some good news on this. FREE3 is pushing for Linux as the standard OS for a
project to computerize 100 schools. It is also going to push for IT literacy
among the masses with Linux and open source software as our main computing,
development, and training platform. FREE3, of course, wants to tap PLUG for
training, OS installation and configuration, and periodic network maintenance
and guidance for new sysads.

More when the project detials get nailed down!

(FREE3 -- Filipinos for Reform and Empowerment through Education,
Entrepreneurship, and Electronic Media).

God bless!
