there are some pg benchmarks out there that make pretty good sense of the
situation. but, as you have mentioned before orly it is about the "need".
in the case of IMP, pg may logically be a better solution (based on the
benchmarks.) however, if you wanna place blobs on the database then pg is
not the way to go.
