Hi all,

If you're looking for a place to hang out "locally", UP College of
Medicine has an IRC server running on upcm.net port 6667. If you're
within UP Manila's network, the address is unos.upm.edu.ph port 6667.

Dr. Cito Maramba (Odo) and I (pusakat) hang out there for most of the
day and night in channels #PLUG and #general. Our bot, Triumph,
doesn't bite, but neither does she talk too much.

I know there are existing chat servers and network around, but the
traffic on them is generally too demanding of attention. I used to
hang out on undernet.org in #support.ph but really needed the reprieve
from general IRC pickup lines. ;)

For real time chatter and help, you could check it out sometime.
