The adsl utilities are built into the Mandrake Distros.
My advice is to NOT use the graphical tools that come with MDK 8.0
The command line utilities work PERFECTLY.
Use adsl-start and adsl-stop and I think there is adsl-setup
After that you should open up the config file and edit the parameters 
such as auto connect (for 24 hour operation). do a "man adsl-start"

Of course now that you are connected.

You need to setup a simple firewall, a 2nd network card, a DNS server 
(e.g. BIND 8), IP Tables for NAT/IP MAsq so you can distribute the 
internet to everybody else, of course if you are lazy you can just 
setup SQUID and rest.

You will have fun doing this in MDK 8.0, it is soooo easy.
(Don't trust the GUIs on this one)
