Do you consider engineering complex structures like spans, buildings, etc.
real work? AutoLISP is an important component of many AutoCAD shops.
I don't use LISP or Scheme in my day-to-day work. I do, however, work a lot
of lisp-isms into my work notes and some of my code (e.g. have functions
like car/cdr for working w/ sets of things, use recursion for searching,
etc.).
