#Win9x has ugliness in it because it's DERIVED from DOS. Like: DOS -->
#Win16 --> Win32s --> Win9x. You have ugly DLL's and thunking because
#back-compatibility of the API must be maintained.

Oh man!  Orly, you brought back nightmares that haunted me in a previous
incarnation ;)  It was a biatch thunking win32->win16, and win16->win32
APIs in a application.
