Hello,

Try to look at Fast Etherchannel technology from cisco.

http://www.cisco.com/warp/public/cc/techno/media/lan/ether/channel/index.shtml

http://www.intel.com/support/network/adapter/ans/linux/linansoverview.htm

your going to need a cisco switch and intel pro nics.
although my implementation experience with this technology is with novell,
the Intel docs say they support linux.

Good luck.
