Yes. You dont need a VPN to secure logging in to your corporate email server from outside your private network. I was in the same position a week ago. But instead of securing my imap, I installed:
1) webmail/squirrelmail + secure login plugin. but before secure login can work you need: 2) apache + php4 + mod_SSL Once everything is installed, you will have a peace of mind to let your email users read their mails anywhere/anytime. The secure login plugin does encrypt email to/from your corporate mail server as well. Webmail works like a yahoo web mail. It's cool, user friendly and I have tested it in Windows/Solaris/Linux web browsers. rowel > On Mon, Oct 07, 2002 at 04:51:38PM +0800, Jun Tanamal wrote: >> What VPN software in RHlinux will I use that will work with netscape's >> SSL feature? >> I solicit your valuable ideas... > > You don't need a VPN to do this.
