I like the new HP iPaq better - has biometric scanner and built-in WiFi/BT! hehe...
And oh, PocketPC's cannot run server-processes and they cannot install applications without a PC. And worst! You cannot connect it to Linux! ARGH! I almost bought the Loox at PhP35K or the Toshiba e740 with built-in WiFi (good thing I did not, they did a recall of some units recently). My concern was syncing it with Linux or installing apps without being dependent on a PC. However, I sure miss the Toshiba's video port and USB host support! Now that would be great - imagine, using PocketPC Powerpoint and connect it to an LCD projector with a USB keyboard. COOLNESS! Oh well, it really is great to be using your computer to access your data on your PDA via telnet/ssh or better, VNC. --o000o-- Prof. Rommel Palma Feria, MSc, SCJP Director, University Computer Center University of the Philippines - Diliman Quezon City 1101 Philippines Voice: +63 2 9268837 Fax: +63 2 9204803 Email: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [EMAIL PROTECTED] ----------------------------------------- Original Message: From: Paolo Carballo <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Connection is through serial port and/or USB networking. The 3870 has Bluetooth and IRDA. If you want ethernet or anything else, just buy a dual PCMCIA sleeve and stick in your card of choice. Multimedia? You bet.
