# svstat /service/dnscache or something similar? (assuming you symlinked /service/dnscache to the dnscache-conf created directory) i experienced lots of problems before just like this and i found out that the reason was because i did not unpack the daemontools .tar.gz file to /package and compile it from there. duh?! :) after following DJB's instructions line for line, that's when it started working :P i use djbdns because of its small footprint and great speed but that doesn't mean i agree with the DJB-nix style -dre _ Philippine Linux Users Group.
