Hello all,

I have tinydns and dnscache both installed in one machine. Both of them
are located at /etc directory. When I "# netstat -anp | grep ":53",
this is only the result that I got:

udp 0 0 127.0.0.1:53 0.0.0.0:* 1971/tinydns

When I "# dnsqr a marvin.bir.gov.ph" to check for my own machine, I got:

- - - < s n i p > - - -
1 marvin.bir.gov.ph:
88 bytes, 1+1+1+1 records, response, authoritative, noerror
query: 1 marvin.bir.gov.ph
answer: marvin.bir.gov.ph 86400 A 130.1.25.40
authority: bir.gov.ph 259200 NS ns1.ns.bir.gov.ph
additional: ns1.ns.bir.gov.ph 259200 A 127.0.0.1
- - - < s n i p > - - -

Also, I tried querying the other machine by "# dnsqr a
isds18.bir.gov.ph", I got:

- - - < s n i p > - - -
1 isds18.bir.gov.ph:
88 bytes, 1+1+1+1 records, response, authoritative, noerror
query: 1 isds18.bir.gov.ph
answer: isds18.bir.gov.ph 86400 A 130.1.201.18
authority: bir.gov.ph 259200 NS ns1.ns.bir.gov.ph
additional: ns1.ns.bir.gov.ph 259200 A 127.0.0.1
- - - < s n i p > - - -

I checked my /etc/dnscache/log/main/current log file and the last few
lines contains:

- - - < s n i p > - - -
@400000003dec695e16a3c8b4 envdir: fatal: unable to read ./env/supervise:
is a directory
@400000003dec695f1871b2b4 envdir: fatal: unable to read ./env/supervise:

@400000003dec69601a59db74 envdir: fatal: unable to read ./env/supervise:
is a directory
@400000003dec69611c01fd94 envdir: fatal: unable to read ./env/supervise:
is a directory
- - - < s n i p > - - -

What could be the problem? It seems that my dnscache is not running.

Any help?

Thanks in advance.
