Good Day All! I have a brother-in-law who is currently living in Davao (he was recently married to a girl from there). He is pretty sharp technically, and is learning Linux. I have sent him copies of SuSE 8.0 and Red Hat 8.0. I'll also be sending him a copy of Knoppix as it is a great tool to have in your bag of tricks!
Questions: 1. Is there a way he can get a general technical job in Davao or Cebu where he can continue to learn Linux (he know Microsoft now). 2. What is the main distro in the Philippines that he should be looking at? (Please don't say Slackware...I don't want to make him hate Linux from the start) 3. Are there are groups that meet in Davao and Cebu where he can meet and greet, and get involved a little? Thanks! I appreciate any help anyone can be!
