Please check your sdram (128MB) if it has only 4 chips on it. If it does
the 128 MB RAM is only detected as 128 MB if you are using a Mobo for P IV
otherwise as you've said only 64MB or half will be detected.
For older Mobos (for PIII and below) you have to use an SDRAM with more
chips (If I'm not mistaken about 8 chips embedded on the SDRAM, its the
older type of RAM and priced a little higher). Newer SDRAM nowadays only
comes with fewer chips and are designed only for PIVs.
yes, I used some modules with 8 chips and some with 16chips (back-to-back).
For now I settled in using the 128Mb with the original 32Mb for a total detected memory of 64Mb only...I wonder still :)
